Belize Fund’s 2nd Learning & Knowledge Workshop
On February 26th, we hosted our 2nd Learning & Knowledge Sharing Workshop, bringing together our grantee partners for a full day of reflection, dialogue, and practical learning.

From walking through the application and award process to unpacking reporting, adaptive management, and Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning, the goal was simple:
Make sure our partners feel confident, supported, and equipped to implement their projects effectively.
We had some honest conversations.
During our panel discussion, we heard directly from (L-R):
• Carlos Arevalo, Chunox Fishermen Association
• Wilbur Dubon, Blue Nutrients
• Mark Thompson, Wabafu Fishermen Association
• Joel Verde, Sarteneja Alliance for Conservation and Development

They shared what’s working, what’s challenging, and what they’ve learned along their individual journeys. Those exchanges are what make this workshop meaningful.

We also took time to connect the dots — spotlighting how individual projects contribute to a bigger vision for conservation, community resilience, and Belize’s blue economy.
Because at the Belize Fund, learning is how we strengthen our investments in people, partnerships, and long-term impact — together.
