If you have a complaint or concern (grievance) against the Belize Fund’s operations, employees, or one of our funded projects, we want to hear from you. Our grievance process allows you to submit your concern, and we’ll review it thoroughly before providing a response.
Here’s how to file a grievance:
Submission of Grievance by Affected Party
You can submit a grievance anonymously or with your contact details. You have several options to submit your grievance:

Belize Fund Review of Grievance Form for Completeness
Once we receive your grievance, we will review it to ensure that it is complete and acknowledge receipt within 5 days. If any information is missing, we will contact you using the contact information provided, and log the grievance in our Grievance database. If you have submitted your grievance anonymously, we will not be able to contact you, but we will still log the grievance in our database.
Review of the Grievance Submission
A team of three individuals, including two employees and a Board member, will review your grievance. If the subject of the grievance is an employee, they won’t be part of the review team. We will discuss the grievance, make decisions, and record key points for future reference or any changes that will be made to our operations and management as a result. This review will be completed within 20 calendar days of Step 2.
Communicating the Outcome of the Review
We will communicate the outcome of the review to you using your preferred contact information within 5 days of completing Step 3. If you submitted your grievance anonymously and agreed to make the outcome of the review public, we will make it available on our website for a reasonable period of time.
Follow-up Meeting (OPTIONAL)
If you have questions or need clarification after receiving the review decision, you can request a meeting with us. A representative from the Grievance Review Team will be available – either in person or by electronic means – to address your queries. This meeting is not for further review but to discuss your concerns about the process.
