Belize’s conservation finance landscape is changing.
More financing is flowing into conservation and blue economy activities than in previous years. That is important progress for a country whose ocean supports livelihoods, food security, tourism, coastal protection, and national development.
But as financing grows, the need for clearer priorities also grows.
The Program Impact Strategy will help guide how the Belize Fund invests in Belize’s marine and coastal future through 2030. It is being developed to strengthen alignment, clarify where financing can make the greatest difference, and ensure future investments are connected to long-term impact.
We are not starting over. We are building on existing programs and commitments, while sharpening focus for the next phase of conservation financing in Belize.
Lasting impact requires clear choices, strong partnerships, and financing that is guided by purpose.
